Telemann: Six duets "Sonatas" for 2 cellos, Volume I

Telemann hat diese 6 Duette, die 1727 zum ersten Male in Hamburg erschienen sind betitelt: „Sonatas without bass, with two transverse Flutes or with two Violins or with two Recorders...“.

It consists of six four-movement sonatas. They are characterized by great ingenuity, conciseness of the themes, wonderful cantabile in the slow movements and balance of the two voices. They also guarantee great musical enjoyment for players with moderate technical skills.

Each edition consists of 2 individual parts, so that turning the pages during a movement is avoided.
