The sonatas and partitas for violin alone by J. S. Bach - composed around 1720 during his time in Anhalt-Köthen - are unique masterpieces. The "Sei Solo a Violino senza Basso accompagnato", as the author describes it on the title page, is valued by many violinists as the pinnacle of this literary genre.
The output is set up in such a way that the player can understand any deviation from the original - in slurs or ornaments. The new edition was edited and set up for practical use on the basis of Bach's handwritten original.
