Reger: Duo for 2 violins

Reger is probably best known as a composer for his organ works. In addition, he left behind an enormous oeuvre that is located between Mahler and Stravinsky, sonically in the tradition of Brahms and Liszt: orchestral works, concertos, vocal works, piano music and chamber music.

The latter genre includes 259 songs with piano accompaniment. String quartets, string trios, violin and cello sonatas, as well as works for violin and cello alone.

The one-movement duo presented here - Allegro moderato - particularly impresses with its high intensity and great emotionality of the late romantic sound world.

In addition to the two parts, a score is included with the edition.
